LITERARY BUENOS AIRES

BUENOS AIRES LITERARY: THE TOUR

Words, stories, and the city. Welcome to Buenos Aires, a city that's not just for walking, it's for reading. On this journey, the city transforms into an open book where every corner tells a story and every place holds an emotion.

We visited the places where novels, short stories, poems, and great tales of love and heartbreak were born. Places where fiction and reality intertwine, and where literature becomes a tangible reality. We walked through the house of Oliverio Girondo and Norah Lange in Retiro, explored the world of Adolfo Bioy Casares and Silvina Ocampo in Recoleta, traced the history of Manuel Belgrano and Josefa Ezcurra in San Telmo, delved into the tragic legend of Felicitas Guerrero in Barracas, and witnessed the encounter between Camila O'Gorman and Ladislao Gutiérrez at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Love, tragedy, and passion narrate the city through its interconnectedness.

We also explore the spaces that inspired key works: the house that gave rise to Julio Cortázar's "Casa Tomada," Parque Lezama in Ernesto Sabato's universe, the corners of Flores in Alejandro Dolina's work, Plaza San Martín in El túnel, and the building in Baldomero Fernández Moreno's "Setenta balcones y ninguna flor." We read excerpts and understand how these stories came to be.

The city is also built with art. We visited Aníbal Troilo's corner, Alfonsina Storni's house, the Benito Quinquela Martín Museum, and the world of Jorge Luis Borges in Retiro. We listened, we saw, and we read. The city takes on another dimension.

It's not a tour, it's a moving narrative. Every corner has a story, and every story an emotion. You're not coming to just wander, you're coming to interpret.
